When the Wild Dreams Me

  • MoonMountain Highway 113 West Steuben Street Cook, WA, 98605 United States (map)

When the Wild Dreams Me is a series of artwork, poetry, music, and musings born from dreaming with the land. Here lie stories hidden beyond our constructs of identity. Tales of mystery, magic, and myth that reveal themselves to the beholder through symbols, dreams, and wild encounters. Our senses pull us into that great ocean of memory that is belonging, the web of creation that extends deep into the soil and out into the cosmos.

At this art show you can expect to find visual art, poetry and prose, interactive creating, and music culminating in a collaborative performance. When the Wild Dreams Me is not about the product, but rather the process of uncovering the living mythos of the wilderness that lives within each of us. It is from this place I invite any who feel the call to dream into this dream with me to see what comes forth.

The Acorn's Dream ~ Saturday evening performance

The Acorn's Dream is a collaborative musical-style short story written and directed by Savannah Clancy and brought to life by local community members. It is a creatively shortened version of a longer story that will be shared in full in the future, called Hanora from Ireland and the Acorn Song.

The Acorn's Dream comes through a dream in the shape of a song that gifts an acorn to plant. Love constitutes its presence, and its potential is an ever-binding freedom. To dream this acorn's dream is to dream a new world into being; one of belonging, magic, wildness, and wonder for all beings alive to taste in every crack and corner of darkness.

This performance is donation-based; a payment is not required to purchase a ticket, but if you would like to add a small donation of your choosing it is appreciated!

There will be walk-in options available on the day of, but if you can, please reserve your seat now!

About Savannah ~ I am a multimedia artist and musician based in White Salmon, WA. Everything I do is deeply rooted in my wild belonging and relationship to the earth. I believe that creativity is an intrinsic part of being human and that every one of us lives as a creative act.

When asked what medium I use I say, "Anything, but my favorite is one I have never used before". Of course, there is power in intimacy with a certain art form, but what I love most about art is the element of possibility. And so when I say that I am a multimedia artist and musician, I mean that I am a curious person and art is just one way I dance with the world.

This is my first art show, and I am so excited and scared to share this part of my heart with the world. My prayer is that my art can both inspire and remind folks of their own creative fire that is always available to them with infinite potential. I currently have one album available on all platforms called, Roots in the Water, released last year. It is a good segway into the heart of my work, and I look forward to sharing more.

This is a free event and open to the public, please come to enjoy! The art will be available for purchase.
