Exposure Therapy
A solo exhibition by Anna Kai observing our ability to adapt alongside chaos -- we drop in, out of necessity, and meet ourselves on the other side. These paintings are milestones of change, a collection of learnings and reminders for others dropping into the unknown circumstances of their lives.
BIo
Anna Kai-Walsh is an artist and designer based in White Salmon, WA, who holds a bachelors in Fine Art and Graphic Design. Her paintings are deeply inspired by the cycles of the natural world and our desire to feel connected to that energy. Ultimately, she hopes her artwork serves as a subtle reminder of our collective flow and connection with the environment.

This show marks a turning point in my work. For years I've stood at the easel for hours on end creating intricate depictions of snapshot moments -- a specific splash or moment in time. Massive life changes have pushed me in a more wiley direction -- wild, free flowing acrylic washes on raw canvas. I've adapted, leaned into a side of my art that is more aligned. I can see the through lines in early work, it feels natural, and it's honestly just magic to fully drop into this style of painting. The title Exposure Therapy hints at big circumstances, forcing yourself to overcome the fear, adapt, and come out the other side. These paintings are milestones of change, learnings from a pivotal times in one's life. They are wishes and reminders for others dropping into the unknown circumstances of their lives.

Hi, I’m Laura Doctor, and I’ve been in the alternative healing field for over 25 years. I’ve studied ancient healing techniques and stories from around the world, with a special focus on ancestral wisdom. Storytelling has been a lifelong love of mine, and learning to truly listen to my ancestors has been one of the greatest gifts. I now support others in creating a deeper connection with themselves, their ancestors, and the lands they come from.

The Goddess has many faces and the feminine psyche has many facets — our freedom comes from our capacity to embrace all of it. Shapeshifting the Goddess is a 9-month hybrid journey of ceremony, somatic therapy, shadow work, and pleasure for women ready to live uninhibitedly and wildly from their place of truth. This is a journey of falling madly in love with the woman within and this is journey of nurturing our capacity to truly allow her to lead.
