Sweat Your Prayers® with Jannie

Sweat Your Prayers® is a gathering where we bring our individual 5Rhythms® practice and move through the rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness with intention and in community. It is a dance meditation practice with music and very minimal instruction. There's no step to learn. We dance our own dance. Everybody's welcome! Please come ready to sweat, bring your curiosity, a water bottle and your friends.

"To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self. Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past. Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self healing, whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor. The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy." - Gabrielle Roth

Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the body in motion, the psyche will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms® are practiced, a commUNITY is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.

Sara Mains is a certified 5Rhythms facilitator and has been leading 5Rhythms® classes and workshops in the Columbia River Gorge for 10 years.

IMPULSE A 5Rhythms series with Wyld Lee

IMPULSE

A 5Rhythms series with Wyld Lee

In our 5Rhythms practice, we learn how to locate our own moving center.

To find the essence of ourselves through the sensations & language of the body.

It is in the moving center that we begin to sense our unique pulse in the world.

The definition of an IMPULSE:

a sudden strong urge or desire to act

a motivating force

a pulse of electrical energy; a brief current

a force acting briefly on a body and producing a change of momentum

These impulses inform us through the body in often smaller, quieter ways like pure signal.

These impulses can easily be drowned out with the noise and distractions of life.

It is a valuable skill, learning to listen for these currents of information.

In this series, we will experiment with locating & following our own inner impulses.

Practicing skills that can benefit us on and off the dance floor.

We will explore finding our moving center through each Rhythm,

gathering data about ourselves & our patterns along the way.

Join the 5Rhythms in the Gorge commUNITY for this curious space of

movement, practice & play.

We will move with music & guidance - come as you are!

Details:

Thursdays 6-8pm

February 19 & 26

March 5, 12 & 19

It is ok to miss one class as needed - please let the facilitator know so we don't worry!

Exchange: $125

Spring Equinox Mini Tarot Readings w/ Acacia Rene

Spring Equinox Mini Tarot Readings w/ Acacia Rene

The magic of the Spring Equinox brings an opportunity to inquire about the most important message for you during this seasonal transition. If you have a single question or would like guidance on a particular topic, now is the perfect time to ask the tarot. Mini readings will be for approximately 10-15 minutes.

My tarot practice is rooted in intuition, with my focus being to listen and share the living story that the cards are telling. I have found intuitive based readings allow for a wider interpretation of the card meanings and a more personalized connection to the practice.

$22 per reading. Time slots available from 11am-3pm in 15 minute segments. Text 580-304-3943 or email acacia@dragon-priestess.com to book your spot in advance.

Psy Breath: Kriya, Sound Bath, and Sacred Circle

Psy Breath is an immersive workshop that harmonizes Kriya Breathwork led by Katrina with sound medicine and the supportive energy of a sacred circle. Through rhythmic and conscious breathing techniques, participants are guided to activate their body’s natural healing intelligence and reach expanded states of awareness. The journey is musically supported by Psy:Lo, who creates a grounding atmosphere using a blend of ancient-future soundscapes and live instrumentation. This experience is designed to facilitate deep introspection, emotional release, and a sincere connection to both self and community. No prior experience is needed to participate, only an open willingness to breathe and listen.

  • Born and raised in southern California, Katrina eventually traded a fast-paced life of survival for a journey of deep self-discovery and peace in Oregon. She is a highly experienced teacher with over 1500 hours of YTT, specializing in a diverse blend of Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Sound Healing. By weaving global travel experiences and wisdom from her studies in Jyotish and Reiki into her practice, she creates a unique space focused on breath and movement. Katrina invites her students to explore the human condition through a lens of self-love and play, ensuring every session leaves them feeling energized and refreshed.

    Sliding scale: $30 - $50

Finding Your Way: Supporting Children Who Challenge Us with Kim Lubin, LCSW and Certified School Counselor. Kim has extensive experience supporting children, teens, and families. She specializes in helping parents navigate behavioral, social, and emotional challenges, providing practical strategies to foster connection, resilience, and growth within the family.

Parenting doesn’t always go according to plan, and some children present us with unexpected challenges that we do not know how to manage. How do you know when it’s time to pivot, hold the line, or develop a whole new gameplan?

This workshop will offer practical insights and strategies for supporting our children who struggle with behavior, peer relationships, or who simply fit differently into family expectations. Participants will explore approaches for building connection, navigating difficult moments, and helping children—and their families—thrive despite the challenges they face.

This series was designed as a heartfelt effort to strengthen the threads that connect us to ourselves, our children, and each other. By bringing facilitators into our community who can provide parents with practical tools, new insights, practices and resources, we hope to empower parents raising children through the immense cultural and technological shifts of our times.

May 1 - 3
Fri 7:00 - 9:00p

We all learned to be human by seeing. Every child learns through the act of witnessing. How to walk, to talk, to relate. And every one of us has a relationship to seeing & being seen. It is often a tender story wrapped around an unmet need. A critic within that limits our ability to be free. In this weekend workshop in The Gorge,  we will use the 5Rhythms® Waves Map to explore this territory together. Teaching each other how to reclaim the movement we may have been shamed out of.

Practical Parenting Series: “Learning Together: Tools & Supports for Neurodiverse Families”. Presented by Little Oak Montessori

Learning Together: Tools & Supports for Neurodiverse Families with Alaina Ewing, LCSW and Founder of Enriching Journeys Therapy Center in Vancouver, Washington. Alaina’s practice is neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, providing families with practical tools, guidance, and support tailored to their unique needs.

Families with varying needs can pose more challenges than a neurotypical family. When consequence and reward are unhelpful or one member's needs conflict with another, where should families turn?

In this workshop, Alaina Ewing, LCSW, will provide practical strategies for supporting neurodiverse families, including coregulation techniques, communication approaches, behavior momentum, and collaborative ways to navigate daily routines. She will also highlight support networks for caregivers and siblings and offer tools that help families work together with understanding, connection, and confidence.

a sudden strong urge or desire to act

a motivating force

a pulse of electrical energy; a brief current

a force acting briefly on a body and producing a change of momentum

Sweat Your Prayers® with Wyld

The I AM™ Yoga Nidra (Integrative Amrit Method) meditation is a specific system of guided, conscious relaxation, often called "yogic sleep", that leads one into a deep state of awareness between wakefulness and sleep. Sessions will last approximately 45 - 60 minutes and will start with some light movement then settle in for the deeply relaxing practice. Participants will want to bring a mat (can be a yoga mat or other), a blanket to cover the body (the body cools as it relaxes) and if desired, a small pillow and/or something to cover the eyes.

To register, please email spiritsong2001@gmail.com or text, 970-394-9183.

Exchange is $15 for walk-in or four sessions for $50. Payments can be made via Venmo or cash the evening of the practice.

Practical Parenting Series: “Neurodiversity in Practice: Understanding, Advocating, and Supporting Your Child”. Presented by Little Oak Montessori

Neurodiversity in Practice: Understanding, Advocating, and Supporting Your Child with Rachel Montague, Ph. D. Dr. Rachel Montague is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience supporting children and families in clinical and school settings. She specializes in practical strategies and evidence-based approaches to help caregivers navigate behavioral, social, and emotional challenges, turning evaluations and insights into actionable supports at home and school.

Parenting a neurodiverse child can bring unique joys—and unexpected challenges. Understanding your child’s development, recognizing differences, and finding the right supports can make all the difference.

This talk offers a developmental psychologist’s framework for understanding unexpected patterns of development, why differences are sometimes missed or misinterpreted, and how diagnostic systems—though imperfect—support access to care. Parents will gain practical insight into "where to turn" when seeking support to understand their child, discuss the critical difference between won't vs. can't, and review the framework of thinking about neurodivergence as a mismatch between a child's skills and the environments around them. Evidence-based supports, co-occurring challenges, and pathways to appropriate services and resources will be discussed.

This series was designed as a heartfelt effort to strengthen the threads that connect us to ourselves, our children, and each other. By bringing facilitators into our community who can provide parents with practical tools, new insights, practices and resources, we hope to empower parents raising children through the immense cultural and technological shifts of our times.Come to connect with other caregivers, explore actionable strategies, and gain valuable insights to help your child thrive.

Admission: Free (donations to our facilitators welcome and encouraged)

Please RSVP for each workshop individually here!

With an attitude of prayer, we begin the new year practicing 5Rhythms®—learning practical, body-based tools to explore five unique states of being: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. When danced together, these rhythms form a wave of energy and motion that mirrors the rhythms of life.

About the 5Rhythms®

Sweat Your Prayers® with Wyld

CommUNITY Winter Yoga Nidra Practice

CommUNITY Winter Yoga Nidra Practice with Cindy Lou

The I AM™ Yoga Nidra (Integrative Amrit Method) meditation is a specific system of guided, conscious relaxation, often called "yogic sleep", that leads one into a deep state of awareness between wakefulness and sleep. It systematically relaxes the body, mind and emotions to access the subconscious and promote profound healing and personal transformation.

CindyLou has been practicing yoga asana for almost 4 decades. She is a certified Unity Hatha Yoga instructor and holds advanced certifications in I AM™ Yoga Nidra and I AM™ Yoga Body Psychology from the Amrit Institute. Her passion lies in making the practice of yoga accessible for every-body while holding space for the journey inward to connect with the Source that lies within. She resides in Parkdale, Oregon where she offers the community yoga and yoga Nidra meditation at the local town hall. She also offers private yoga and Yoga Nidra sessions.
